Naini Devi Temple is a sacred place of great devotion in Nainital. Goddess Naina Devi is the divine status of Naini Devi Temple and located on the north side of the famous Nainital Lake. Naina Devi Temple is the temple is represented by her two eyes. Devotees from far away place comes here to take the blessing of Maa Naina Devi.
Sitabani Temple is situated in the Jim Corbett National Park. It is an ancient historical temple, famous for its religious value and temple architecture. This temple belong to Goddess Sita, who lived in the region during her exile before facing the Agnipariksha. The number of Melaka stones, one headless dancing Ganesha sculpture, doorjamb, decorated columns carved slabs scattered near the present temple prove the antiquity of the site. However the existing temple at the site is of a very late period.
Sattal is a mysteriously which inter-connected seven freshwater lakes located in the Nainital district of Kumaon region. Sat Tal is located at an altitude of 1370 meters above sea level. The group of lakes is set surrounded by dense forests of oak and pine trees. Sattal denotes the combination of the ‘Seven Lakes’ is a scenic place that exhibits surroundings by hills accentuated by the delightful atmosphere. Sattal is a perfect destination for the honeymooners, nature lovers, groups, families and the leisure seeking tourists.
The excitement grows multi-fold if you reach the Snow View Point by a ropeway, witnessing the natural beauty as you ascend. The picturesque landscape that this area exhibits is beyond words. At the top of the Snow View Point, a huge pair of binoculars is installed, allowing tourists to have a closer look at the snow-covered peaks. On zooming in, you will see a small temple embraced in the snowy blanket where images of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshman, Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga resides.
Hanuman Garhi temple Located at a height of 6,401 feet above sea level. which is a famous Hindu temple in Nainital. The temple holds great mythological significance as it was built by a famous saint during the 1950s. The temple has a huge statue of Lord Hanuman people of Nainital is believed to God Hanuman to be protecting and guarding the area and locals. A golden umbrella is also installed overhead the Hanuman statue.
A Sparkling Gem in the crown on Nainital city is the Tiffin Top, also known as Dorothy’s Seat. This famous attraction is a hilltop that offers the most splendid 360-degree view of Nainital city and surrounding Kumaon mountains.
Located 2290 m above sea level, this hilltop is a photographer’s heaven and a perfect spot for a family picnic. As a matter of fact, the name Tiffin Top was kept after people started taking their tiffin and lunch boxes to this hilltop to enjoy a family picnic.
